We are actively seeking new volunteers to aid in our help line ministry! Return calls from your home office, use ministry funds to subsidize rent and utilities for the needy, and occasionally visit in-person to see how we can better serve our neighbors. Most of our volunteers work a single 4-hour shift each week, and with more volunteers, the yoke will be even lighter. Those interested in volunteering are welcome to contact any current member or leave a message at (541) 708-5650. Please note, we are a separate chapter from the Medford location: if you would prefer to volunteer at the thrift store or another brick-and-mortar location, call the Medford St. Vincent de Paul directly: (541) 772-3828.
Inspired by Gospel values, the Society of St. Vincent de Paul–a Catholic lay organization–leads women and men to grow spiritually. We try to meet the corporal works of mercy in the tradition of our founder, Blessed Frederic Ozanam, and our patron Saint Vincent de Paul. Organized locally, Vincentians witness God’s love by embracing all works of charity and justice. The society collaborates with other people of good will in relieving need and addressing its causes, making no distinction in those served because we see the face of God in them all.
The OLM home-visit conference is one of nine conferences under the leadership of the Rogue Valley Council of St. Vincent de Paul. While the Council serves a wide geographic area, we serve those living in Ashland or Talent. Those calling our help line are initially contacted by phone and visited in person if that is desired or called for. We meet people where they are and provide assistance if possible. Our focus is keeping individuals and families in their homes by providing rent or utility assistance, but we also assist those currently homeless by providing necessary items like clothing, food, or bus tokens for transportation.
Our conference meets twice monthly on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays for spiritual reflection and discussion on the best ways to help our neighbors in need.

Tratamos de practicar las obras corporales de misericordia siguiendo la tradición de nuestro fundador, el Beato Frederic Ozanam, y nuestro santo patrono San Vicente de Paul. Organizados localmente los Vicentinos dan testimonio del amor de Dios al practicar las obras de caridad y justicia. La conferencia de visitas-domiciliarias de OLM es una de nueve conferencias bajo el liderazgo del Consejo de San Vicente de Paul del Rogue Valley. Si bien el consejo sirve a una amplia ares geográfica, nosotros servimos a los que viven en Ashland y Talent. Aquellos que llaman a nuestra línea de ayuda son contactados inicialmente por teléfono y visitados en persona si es su deseo o su llamado. Nos reunimos con las personas donde se encuentran y les brindamos asistencia si es posible. Nuestro enfoque es mantener a las personas y familias en sus hogares brindándoles asistencia para la renta o los servicios públicos. También ayudamos a las personas que actualmente no tienen hogar proporcionándoles artículos necesarios como ropa, comida o pases de autobús para que su transporte.
Nuestra conferencia se reúne dos veces al mes en el segundo y cuarto martes del mes para una reflexión espiritual y para discutir las mejores formas de ayudar a nuestros vecinos necesitados.
