First Reconciliation is here! Your student and one parent must attend both the retreat and First Reconciliation.

The retreat is this Saturday, 1/11, from 10 AM – 1 PM; lunch will be provided. During the retreat, we will go through a reconciliation rehearsal to better prepare your student for Tuesday’s First Reconciliation. Parents will also join in their own Examination of Conscience exercises, and will assist their child in preparing their First Communion candles that will also be used during First Reconciliation. Your student should dress appropriately, but do not need to be in their Sunday best.

El retiro es este sábado, 1/11, de 10 AM – 1 PM; se proporcionará almuerzo. Durante el retiro, pasaremos por un ensayo de reconciliación para preparar mejor a su estudiante para la Primera Reconciliación del martes. Los padres también se unirán a sus propios ejercicios de examen de conciencia, y ayudarán a su hijo a preparar sus velas de Primera Comunión que también se usarán durante la Primera Reconciliación. Su estudiante debe vestirse apropiadamente, pero no necesita estar en su mejor momento del domingo.

First Reconciliation is on Tuesday evening, 1/14, beginning at 5 PM. They cannot receive their First Communion without first completing their First Reconciliation. Reconciliation will be a more formal event. Please have your students dressed nicely, as if they were attending Mass.

Several of your students said that they could not attend one or both First Reconciliation events. If you cannot attend for some reason, please reach out to me as soon as possible. The retreat is needed to rehearse and to assemble their candles. If you cannot attend the retreat, we need to reschedule as soon as possible. First Reconciliation will then need to be rescheduled in accordance with Fr. Brent's schedule. Please understand that neither of these events are optional.
